The day-to-day operation of our parish would be impossible without the generous service of our many volunteers. To learn more about any of the ministries below or to offer your assistance, please contact the parish office.

Altar Preparation Team & Flower Arranging Team
Every week (except during Lent) on Saturday mornings (from 9am to 10.30am) a small group of dedicated ladies are rostered to arrange the flowers and to beautify and prepare the church for the Sunday Masses. There is an ongoing need for greenery, so if you have a garden they can raid please let us know. If you would like to assist but are not confident, training and support will be given.

Acolytes and Altar Servers
We have a faithful team of acolytes and altar servers who prayerfully assist the clergy at the altar during Holy Mass. Our acolytes also help prepare the sanctuary prior to Mass and pack things away afterwards. Theirs is a service of significant importance to the parish, and regular training is provided.

Choirs
Our parish is blessed with several choirs who accompany the sacred liturgy on Sundays and solemnities.  Most of the choirs are happy to welcome new members – if you would like to join a choir, either speak to them after Mass or contact Pat Branson through the parish office.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion have the privilege of helping distribute the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass when required, and also of assisting with taking Holy Communion to the sick and housebound.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee meets monthly to advise the Parish Priest on any financial matters relating to operation of the parish. They prepare an annual budget of income and expenditure, aid the Finance Officer in keeping accurate financial records, assist with implementing the planned Giving program, and help ensure that the parish maintains a sound financial position.

Gardening & Lawn Mowing Team
Our dedicated “Green Team” meets each Wednesday to help maintain the parish and presbytery gardens and lawns, using parish equipment.

Glory Be Café
Morning tea in the Glory Be Café is held after the 9.30am Mass each Sunday, providing an opportunity for people to catch up with fellow parishioners and to make new friends. A team of volunteers help set-up prior to Mass, serve during the morning tea, and clean up afterwards. Others assist by preparing baked goods and other items. Each team is rostered on about once a month.

Hospitality: Mass Greeters
Our Mass greeters offer a service of hospitality to those arriving for Sunday Mass, welcoming parishioners and visitors with a smile and offering the parish bulletin and occasionally other materials.

Maintenance
Our team of skilled tradies helps maintain the physical upkeep of our parish churches and offices.

Office Volunteers
Our team of office volunteers assists the office staff with answering phones, welcoming visitors, and other assorted office tasks. They are often the first person that visitors to our parish meet, and serve an important ministry of welcome and hospitality.

Proclaimers of the Word (Readers)
Our team of readers have the honour of proclaiming the sacred Scriptures during Mass, and in so doing help the faithful to enter more deeply into the mysteries of the liturgy. Regular training is provided to ensure that our Lord’s saving Word is proclaimed with clarity and reverence.

Events Team
A team of volunteers helps plan and organise many of the social events held in the parish throughout the year. Help with setting up, cooking, or cleaning up is always appreciated.
