The Code of Canon Law states that “the Christian faithful are obliged to assist with the needs of the Church so that the Church has what is necessary for divine worship, for the works of the apostolate and of charity, and for the decent support of ministers” (Canon 222.1).
There are many ways in which Catholics can assist their local Church, examples of which can be seen in the various groups and programs featured on this website. However, parishes also require financial support from the Catholic faithful in order to function. To this end, two collections are normally taken during Sunday Mass: the first collection supports the clergy, while the second collection supports the day-to-day operation of the parish. Offerings to these collections can be made in loose cash via the baskets at the rear of the church, through planned giving envelopes, or via the tap-and-go machines in the church foyer.
Alternatively, our parishioners can give financial support online, either by taking part in our direct debit program, or by transferring their offerings directly into the appropriate parish accounts. Further information about these methods of supporting the parish can be found below, or by contacting the parish office.
