WE CELEBRATE …
Passion Sunday -
Good stewards strive to conform their lives to that of Christ -
FR JOE’S MESSAGE: A LENTEN PRAYER
God our hearts are heavy,
with sins untold and cares unshared.
Our lives are burdened,
with doubts unvoiced and fears unmentioned.
God, who is greater than our hearts, deeper than our minds,
always alive, always longing for our response.
May we stretch out our hands and surrender,
walking with you through the wilderness,
to find freedom in following Christ alone.
May we willingly walk with Jesus,
the one who carries our burdens to the cross
where fear is transformed into love,
and loneliness into community with you.
SPECIAL THANKS TO...
When Psyche Mae featured in Project Compassion 2008, she was living in a squatter settlement, on the edge of a giant rubbish dump outside Manila in the Philippines. She is now a young social worker with plans to study a Master’s degree, whilst helping others emerge from poverty, thanks to the support of individuals and Caritas Australia. Please donate to Project Compassion 2018 and help improve the health and wellbeing of communities in the Philippines so they can work towards eradicating poverty, providing a just future for all. A Just Future starts with your support! Donate using Parish boxes and envelopes, or by phoning 1800 024 413 or visiting www.caritas.org.au/projectcompassion.
